Wooohooo!
I'm working on a new knitting project. Unforunately, with the shrug, I'm going to need a lot of help with it, as it is my first real garment. I also fear I'll have to unknit and unpurl (a technique
ladypoetry so eloquently taught me yesterday) about 70 stitches, and I'm really not looking forward to that. >.>
Until then, I save your flist with lj cuts.
First off we have my WIP. And I mean, WIP. I've only done one round of making this Knitty.com project called 'Fetching'. The lovely
ladypoetry has since finished two pairs (!!!!) of this, and I must say, they are quite fetching. *cracks up* Oh, I'm so witty.
Here are
ladypoetry's FO (Finished Object(s)), seen
( Here. )
She is a wonderful little knitter already. Seriously. I started with the purling and knitting and stockinette, but
ladypoetry just jumped right in and did cabling and working with double-pointed needles. I mean, dude. Not only does she have guts, but she's SO AWESOME. ;____;
Then I have my WIP with the double-points. I'm working with four needles, then five for the cabling.
Here's my bee-oo-tiful WIP:
( Seen here. )
I'm planning to make a pair for mi madre, who just had surgery. I'm using
( This colour yarn. )
It's not exactly the same colour as it is shown, but it's a lovely blue-er turqouise, just the colour my mom likes.
Whee! *runs off to knit more*
